FOREWORD

Welcome to the wonderful world of God’s love ! You have decided to follow Jesus - it’s the greatest decision you could ever make !

The Bible as God’s written Word to man, must be the basis of your Christian life. Grasping the promises, the directions and the teaching of the Bible is so very important for you as a new Christian. This will provide you with a firm foundation, allowing you to grow in your faith and in your knowledge of God and His will for you as a follower of Jesus.

Each Scripture given and every Bible passage referred to will add to your understanding of what God has said in His Word. Pray as you read and study that the Holy Spirit might give you insight and revelation. If there is something you don’t quite understand, be sure to ask one of your church leaders. They will only be too glad to help. Make sure you have a modern easy-to-read translation of the Bible. This will help you grasp more easily the simple truths of God’s Word.

The questions that you will find at the end of each lesson have been designed to make you think. Some of the questions will be straightforward. Others will need you to « chew » on them for a while. They will be a good indication of how much of that particular lesson you have understood.

My sincere prayer for you as you begin, is that you will become a man or woman of God’s Word so that with great conviction and understanding, you will go through life LIVING FOR JESUS.
